There is an easy solution to making food safer to eat and which pays for itself through extended shelf life, reducing waste and increasing the sales opportunity. It is a product from Australia called Herbal-Active which is made from natural extracts of culinary herbs and as a 1% dipping solution it will safely kill food pathogens and food spoilage organisms. I attended the first meeting out in Monterey. It was an interesting to watch Western Growers, the plantiff's in the 'hearing', grill opponents of the NLGMA. The camps broke into familiar groupings of who you would expect to support their respective sides.

If one of these hearings comes to you, take a half day and go watch part of it. You immediately begin to understand the situation 100X better when you can see the body language.
