Social security and life expectancy

The Fact-esque weblog read the link to the recent report seeking a rough estimate of how the rise of obesity might affect life expectancy and hence social security and linked to NathanNewman.org to make a connection I hadn't noted. According to Newman, a GOP report highlighted the lower life expectancy of African Americans and Hispanic Americans and took this differential, not as something that should itself be remedied, but rather as an indication that these groups would especially benefit from the Administration's social security proposals.
